The hermitage of saint George Avlakiou 

 The hermitage seat is found in the street to the Meadow of Kalogiron.  It sanctily belongs in the Abbey of Patmos and supervised under the holy monk Cyrille Pentes of the altar of the church that is dedicated to Saint George and Saint Mattheos. There is a picture of the Virgin Mary that is called the Virgin Mary maheromeni (crucifixion). According to the delivery of this picture, they had seized pirates, perhaps from beach of what was then Greece Asia Minor and above it they raised tobacco.  The Virgin Mary then left. The waves of the sea took him very far and he was later found by fishermen, which then he was given to the elders that season who had been in the Meadow of Kalogiron.  It was then said that he was given to the church of Saint George of Avlakiou that can still be found there today.
