Beaches
You can find many beaches, with crystal clear water, around the island's coast line.
At almost all the beaches there are fish taverns with a traditional cuisine or cantinas for ouzo & beer.
At some beaches you can find water sports.
If you enjoy sailing or you would like to go with your friends to a nearby island, you can rent a boat.
Aspri
A quiet beach within walking distance from Skala, with clear blue water and a wonderful view of the Monastery.
Meloi
A beach close to Skala, with many trees and lots of shadow.
The municipality camping is situated at Meloi.
Agriolivadi
AN organized beach with umbrellas and deck chairs but also with the shade of trees. Water sports are available including water skiing, pedal boats, canoeing etc.
Kampos
From Kampos square you head down to Lower Kampos, to find one of the longest beaches of the island. Fully organize with sun beds and umbrellas it is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors and ideal for children and young people. You will enjoy water sports, such as skiing, wake boarding, pedal boats etc. and one can enjoy a beach beach bar and a number of restaurant
Grikos
Grikos is a contemporary maritime housing area with a considerable touristic infrastructure. Built on a magical bay that has officially been enlisted as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, by a recognized international organization, reliant to authorized by UESCO, under the name of "the most beautiful bay in the world".
It has a view of the Rock of Kalikatsou and a fully organized beach.
Petra (Rock)
An organized pebbled beach with umbrellas and deck chairs next to the rock of Kalikatsou. The lake of Petra is a place of exceptional natural beauty (with a salt lake) where swans, herons and wild ducks migrate during the winter. You can enjoy water sports, such as skiing, pedal boats.
Psili Ammos (fine sand)
A sandy beach of immense natural beauty. You can get there either by boat, that leaves early in the morning from the port of Skala and comes back in the afternoon of the same day Alternatively you can drive by car or motorbike to Diakofti and then continue by foot using an easy path.
Diakofti
There are two beaches. One is after Petra beach and the other towards Psili Ammo.
Livadi Geranou
Sandy beach with trees giving shadow. From the beach you can swim across to the small islet of St. George. In spring time behind the beach one can see fields of blossoming Orchids.
Lampi
A beach with the most amazing pebbles, each unique in their colorful patterns. Accessible by any type of transportation, even by bus..
Vagia
A beach with crystal clear water. You can get there by any type of transportation, even by boat from Skala.
Livadi Kalogiron
A beach with crystal clear water, plenty of shadow and cave rocks. It you are lucky and are there at the right season, you can see the traditional harvesting and threshing at the local farm.

Merika bay with its three beaches: Pano Merikas, Kakarina and Kato Merikas.
Patelia. After Panagia Geranou.
Lefkes. Just before Kampos (There is a cantina).
Large Mersini, at St. Nikolas in Evdilos
Ligginou (Twin beaches) before Livadi Geranou (There is a cantina).
Kipi. Just under The Holy Convent of The Annunciation.
There are many other small and remotely situated beaches, with crystal clear waters.
